About US

Samsung Global Orthopaedic Clinic (SGOC) led by a shoulder & elbow specialist, Kwang Seok Jo, MD, who also trained about knee injury and foot and ankle injury, was establish ed on Mar. 30, 2023 in Suseon-gu, Degu. Dr. JO had been trained and studied about the treatment and researches of shoulder & elbow injuries in Orthopaedic Department in Samsung medical center and also trained knee & foot and ankle injury.

He also participated the outpatient clinic and operation room about foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow and sports clinic in MGH hospital, Boston, USA.

SGOC is led by Dr. Jo, and Dr. Uhm. SGOC provides medical care to various patients who have orthopaedic problems such as shoulder & elbow, hip, knee & lower extremities, and spinal disorders, based on precise diagnosis through physical examination and imaging including X-rays, MRI as well as CT scan (SM). SGOC also prepares large Physio & Training space in the 4rth floor (Sports medical center) where SGOC can provides physiotherapy by the hand of experienced physios.

 Specialty consultations

Orthopaedic specialists, Dr. Jo and Kim provide precise diagnosis based on physical examination and imaging and recommend the best treatment including medication, physio, and/or surgery in floor 5th.

 

 Imaging

SGOC has excellent imaging facility in floor 5th (SGOC Imaging)


  • ・X-rays
  • ・Ultrasound
  • ・BMD
  • ・MRI & CT (examined in SM radiology clinic nearby SGOC)



SGOC has large Physio & Training space in the 4th floor (Sports Medical Center) where SGOC can provides physiotherapy by the hand of experienced physios and trainers. 

 Appointment system

SGOC welcomes patients who has Korean National insurance and those who have not. Consultations are could be appointment with phone call (+82) 053-752-9200.

We accept Credit card and cash only.

We ask patients to settle the payment on the day that the services are rendered


 Specialty consultations

If you have Korean National Health Insurance, charges are set according to the regulation. If you have private insurance only, the following charges will be applied. Consultation fee with a Specialist (initial visit): from 100,000 Won.


  • Imaging

    1. ・X-rays: from 10,000 WON.
    2. ・Ultrasound: from 30,000 WON.
    3. ・ESWT: from 30,000 WON.

 Tax free services  

Tax free services may be available for some embassies and their diplomatic staff. Please inquire us by email: samsung_global@naver.com

 Insurance claims

You will receive an itemized receipt and statement of your diagnosis. Please use these for your insurance claims. However, if a specific claim form is required, we are happy to complete these for you. The complete claim form with doctor’s signature will be sent to you by post within approximately three weeks.
