Shoulder

We diagnose and treat everything from sports injuries to shoulder disorders.

Common Conditions

Shoulder Dislocation

A condition where the shoulder joint is displaced due to a strong external impact.

Symptoms
& Causes
  • When the shoulder is dislocated, it can cause severe pain and make it difficult to lift or move the arm. The length of the arms or the height of the shoulders may also appear uneven.
  • It is very important to restore the shoulder to its original position promptly through a specialist's care. In the meantime, apply a cold compress and use a firm tool, such as a bandage or splint, to immobilize the dislocated shoulder as much as possible and limit movement.
  • Calcific Tendinitis

Inflammation caused by calcium deposits in the tendon tissue.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • This condition typically occurs when rotational force is applied to the knee, so it is often seen in sports-related injuries. However, in middle-aged and older patients, it usually develops without any specific trauma.
  • Nearly all patients experience pain, which may present as a dull ache throughout the joint. Due to pain and swelling, walking becomes difficult, and the knee may not bend or straighten properly.
  • Rotator Cuff Tear

Inflammation caused by degeneration and injury of the shoulder muscles.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • This condition occurs due to repetitive use of the shoulder, excessive exercise, degenerative changes, or severe external impact.
  • Pressing on the shoulder with your hand increases the pain, and it becomes difficult to lift the arm slightly or extend it forward.
  • Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)

A condition that occurs due to aging and various other causes.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • This condition is caused by degenerative changes affecting the structures of the shoulder joint, including the rotator cuff, joint synovium, biceps tendon, and surrounding tissues, leading to inflammation, pain, and severe movement limitations.
  • Pain is often worse at night, and it becomes difficult to rotate the arm inward, forward, or outward, or to lift it. Pain may also occur even when the shoulder is not in use, making daily activities that require arm movement challenging.
