Spine

We diagnose and treat everything from sports injuries to back and spine disorders.

Common Conditions

Scoliosis

Sideways curvature of the spine when viewed from the front.

Symptoms
& Causes
  • There are various causes of scoliosis, but in most cases (85–90%) the cause is unknown. This type is referred to as idiopathic scoliosis.
  • In adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, which is the most common type, patients usually have no symptoms other than visible deformity. When symptoms do occur, lower back pain is the most common.
  • Herniated Disc(Intervertebral Disc Herniation)

A condition where the intervertebral disc protrudes, causing back pain and nerve symptoms.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • As the intervertebral disc degenerates, fissures can develop in the annulus fibrosus surrounding the edge of the disc, allowing the nucleus pulposus to herniate beyond the border of the vertebral body.
  • The most prominent symptoms of lumbar disc herniation are lower back pain accompanied by radiating pain and numbness in the leg. The herniated disc irritates the nerve root, leading to sensory disturbances in the areas innervated by the affected nerve.
  • Herniated Lumbar Disc(Lower Back Disc)

Lower back disc condition causing pain due to poor posture.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • It occurs due to poor posture, trauma such as a car accident, or excessive exercise.
  • Patients may feel that their body is misaligned and have difficulty straightening their back when standing up after sitting.
  • Spondylolisthesis

Pain felt in the lower back and near the sacrum.

    Symptoms
    & Causes
  • Spondylolisthesis can be caused by the forward slippage of the spine, trauma such as a car accident, degeneration due to aging, congenital spinal growth abnormalities, malignant tumors, or postoperative complications.
  • Symptoms include pain in the lower back and sacrum area, tenderness when pressing on the spine while standing upright, reduced pain when walking uphill, more severe pain when standing up from lying down or sitting, and a waddling gait when walking.
